Job summary

Parallax Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a mid-to-senior Avionics & Electrical Power Engineer to own power architecture for spacecraft and mission hardware.

You will design, develop, integrate, and qualify electrical power systems across the full product lifecycle, translating requirements into reliable, flight-ready hardware.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, review schematics, and support hardware through procurement, integration, and testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing or developing electrical power systems and related high-reliability hardware.
• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, payload, or defense electrical systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end electrical power system architectures for spacecraft and mission hardware.
• Design and review power distribution, regulation, and protection strategies.
• Create power budgets, energy balances, and load profiles for mission scenarios.
• Collaborate with avionics, flight software, and systems teams throughout the design lifecycle.
• Lead verification, tests, and documentation for qualification and delivery.
