Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware products development experience.
• 7+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in new hardware product development.
• Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing).
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical avionics team to efficiently develop cost effective and reliable electronic systems.
• Apply extensive knowledge and experience to ensure avionics systems survive lifetime requirements in application environments.
• Optimize design for performance vs costs (manufacture, assembly, test, materials, mass, & thermal performance) to meet lifetime reliability.
• Prepare and compile design review materials for design review gates.
• Hire and develop requisite talent to ensure the team can meet Kuiper's demand.
