Job summary

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband globally. The Design Verification Engineer will join the Avionics team to verify electrical functions in high-performance communications systems and develop Python-based test software and reports.

You will collaborate with PCBA, harness, FPGA and embedded SW teams, maintain requirements traceability, and help shape system test strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in board-level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics; OR 3+ years building test fixtures and complex test systems with integrated test software.
  • 3+ years developing verification plans, requirements, and procedures for product design verification.
  • 3+ years using standard lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
  • 3+ years in design or test of switching power supplies, motors, sensors, and high-speed electrical signal characterization.
  • 3+ years in design verification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity, and protocol compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Automated Functional Testing: develop test sequences for automated functional checkout tests on proprietary hardware.
  • Data Analysis: implement algorithms to analyze test data and compare results to pass/fail criteria.
  • Report Generation: create detailed test reports with pass/fail status and insights for the team.
  • Conduct test readiness reviews and align with stakeholders on data reviews.
  • Influence system test strategy by helping define system test requirements.
