Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Dulles, VA is seeking an Electrical Circuit Design Engineer – Level 4 for on-site work. You will design spacecraft avionics circuits, select radiation-tolerant components, and collaborate with CAD and software teams to ensure robust layouts.

The role requires advanced circuit analysis, design reviews, and guidance to junior engineers. A TS clearance is required for this position, with a 9/80 schedule and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience OR Master’s with 6 years OR PhD with 4 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuits with digital, mixed signal and some analog functionality for spacecraft applications.
• Select components with suitable radiation qualities.
• Interact with team members and software group to determine interfaces and operating characteristics.
• Lead the effort to incorporate a wide range of technologies and design architectures into satellite systems.
• Plan, prepare and complete design and development activities and provide technical oversight to junior engineers.
• Participate in or lead design reviews and perform deep dive reviews for peers.
• Work with fabrication team on board layout and build.
• Define layout constraints and oversee board layout personnel.
