Job summary

Star Catcher Industries, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Spacecraft ADCS Engineer to design, develop and operate spacecraft ADCS systems for the Star Catcher Network.

You will lead requirements, implement guidance and control algorithms, perform simulations, and verify hardware in embedded environments. Ideal candidates have a 5+ year aerospace software background, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with numerical tools (Python, MATLAB) and ADCS design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• At least five years of aerospace software experience.
• Proficient in C and C++ programming.
• Knowledge of control and optimization theory.
• Experience with Python and MATLAB for numerical analysis.
• Familiarity with ADCS design and spacecraft simulations.
• Experience delivering software for space or aerospace systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead spacecraft ADCS subsystem design and implementation.
• Design and implement guidance & control algorithms in embedded software.
• Define ADCS subsystem requirements and verification strategies.
• Guide hardware procurement and emulator development.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for validation.
• Develop ADCS verification, environmental and acceptance testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation per company standards.
• Manage project timelines, resources and budgets for aerospace tasks.
