Job summary

Rendezvous Robotics in Golden, CO is seeking a GNC Engineer, ADCS (Vehicle) to own the complete lifecycle of the attitude control system for modular spacecraft tiles. You will design, implement, and verify de-tumble, pointing, slews, and momentum management, collaborating across software, avionics, structures, and test teams.

You will prototype and test algorithms in flight software, optimize performance, and participate in HITL and on-orbit operations, with opportunities to contribute to swarm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong programming in C++ and Python; flight software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop attitude control and estimation algorithms, simulations, tools, and dashboards in C++ and Python.
• Own attitude determination and control for the assembled spacecraft across pointing, slews, and momentum management.
• Develop momentum-management architecture for the vehicle.
• Model and control attitude dynamics of reconfigurable structures as tiles dock and reconfigure.
• Lead trade studies and sizing for ADCS sensors and actuators.
• Define vehicle-level GNC requirements and concepts of operations.
• Verify performance with Monte Carlo simulations and HITL experiments.
• Support flight operations and on-orbit health monitoring.
• Contribute to swarm-side attitude control for tiles during proximity operations.
