Job summary

Barrios Technology is seeking a Wireless Communications Engineer in Houston to support NASA deep-space programs. You will serve as an RF communications systems engineer on critical integration efforts for the ISS, Orion, and Moon Base, reviewing protocols and performing link-budget analyses using MATLAB/Simulink.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, strong RF analytics, and the ability to work with diverse teams across NASA centers. U.S.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
Experience with RF communications principles and link-budget analysis.
Familiarity with CCSDS standards and space communication systems.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for analysis and modeling.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
U.S. Citizenship or clearability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

Serve as RF Communications Systems Engineer for ISS, Orion, Moon Base, and Exploration Programs.
Review link and network protocols implemented on space communications systems.
Compute RF link budgets and perform performance analyses via simulations.
Participate in SRR, PDR/CDR, and technical interchange meetings.
Conduct RF interference, spectral, and power flux density analyses.
