Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's, master's or PhD in engineering or related field with progressive engineering experience.
  • Two to three years of experience with finite element modeling software preferred (Femap/Nastran).
  • Ability to perform static/dynamic structural and thermal analyses.
  • Ability to design hardware to meet requirements and read mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quasi-static, modal, random vibration, and thermal stress analyses using Femap and Nastran.
  • Support environmental testing of hardware including vibration, shock, thermal, and other qualification tasks.
  • Provide Mechanical Engineering support to project teams and track progress.
  • Generate and present design review packages for internal and external audiences.
  • Support customer and supplier interactions and contribute to new product concepts.
