Job summary

Space Systems Integration LLC in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer to provide SETA support to a government client, contribute to space resiliency, and work with Government and SMEs on lifecycle systems engineering and management processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in space systems engineering.
• Experience with space systems design, development, assembly, integration, and testing.
• Experience with IC and/or DoD; familiarity with IC architectures, spacecraft, and payloads.
• Proven leadership and ability to be the primary point of contact for projects.
• Strong interpersonal and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to communicate technical subjects to diverse senior audiences via briefing and writing.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders to understand systems, designs, and interfaces to satisfy mission requirements.
• Represent the government client to development contractors in reviews and working groups.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status to Government and industry.
• Support acquisition, source selection, and programmatic processes.
• Assist COTR in managing space vehicle budgets, design integration, and system testing.
• Assist with development of proposal documents and technical evaluations of proposals.
• Design and implement technical solutions for new business needs and challenges.
