Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Space Vehicle Assembly, Integration and Test (SV AI&T) engineer at Palm Bay, FL to support spacecraft bus, payloads and higher-level assemblies for mission-critical space vehicles.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop I&T plans, review design drawings, and contribute to process improvements across manufacturing activities. This role requires related space industry experience and eligibility for a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years experience or 7+ years in related work.
• At least 2 years direct integration and test experience on space products or complex systems.
• Experience applying lean/six sigma techniques (FMEA, DFMA/DFMT, DOE, RCCA).
• Security clearance required at hire: SECRET.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly, integration, and test for an assigned satellite per requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DFMA/DFMT and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain detailed Satellite System I&T plans and coordinate resources.
• Analyze drawings and parts lists to generate clear assembly documentation.
• Directly support day-to-day assembly, integration, and test tasks.
• Support test processes and analyze telemetry to verify SV functionality.
• Assist with RCCA, cost estimates, and tooling recommendations.
• Maintain Master Schedule milestones and report status to leadership.
