Job summary

Gravitics, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Engineer to design and implement tooling for large aerospace structures in the Greater Seattle area, bridging design and production.

You will own tooling projects, create detailed drawings with GD&T, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, quality, and on-time delivery. A strong CAD/analysis background and industry experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Own complex tooling projects from requirements to test.
• Strong CAD/analysis capability for tooling
• Experience writing manufacturing work instructions and tooling documentation.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids for large aerospace structures.
• Develop tooling for welding, machining, structural testing, and precision assembly.
• Create detailed drawings with GD&T and tolerance stacks.
• Apply hand calculations and empirical methods to iterate designs.
• Build finite element models to validate designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to deliver tooling on time and budget.
