Gravitics in Marysville, WA, seeks a Tooling Engineer to design, analyze, and implement manufacturing tooling and fixtures for large aerospace structures, bridging design and production to enable repeatable, safe, and efficient fabrication.

The role emphasizes ownership of tooling projects, hands-on fixture design, and close collaboration with suppliers and the manufacturing team to move ideas into reality. This position offers a path to impact space infrastructure growth.

Formación

• Ownership of tooling projects from requirements through test.
• 5+ years in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience writing work instructions and tooling documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD/analysis tools and PLM systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids for large aerospace structures.
• Develop tooling for welding, machining, structural testing, and precision assembly.
• Create detailed drawings with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Apply hand calculations and empirical methods to iterate designs.
• Build finite element models to assess designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to realize designs; manage schedule and budget; track non-conformances.
