Job summary

AV is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns for a 12-week, onsite Summer Intern program in Albuquerque, NM. Candidates must be enrolled in a 4-year engineering program and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, with preference for juniors or above.

Relocation/housing stipends may be available depending on the team and location. Interns will report to AV's mechanical engineering lead and work on projects across aerospace and defense, including electro-mechanical design, electronics packaging, and thermal

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in process in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Desire to pursue a career in Mechanical engineering for Aerospace and defense systems.
• Interest in aerospace/defense systems and space technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting mechanical design activities of various projects including modeling electro-mechanical systems, electrical enclosures, opto-mechanical systems, etc.
• Supporting system assembly, integration, and test of the above hardware
• Assist other engineers in creating and updating SolidWorks models and drawings.
