Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Summer 2027 Finance Intern in our Austin, TX office for a hands-on internship in finance and accounting. You will work with senior staff and collaborate across departments to support month-end closings, reporting and variance analyses.

The role emphasizes developing technical skills, internal controls exposure, and collaboration in a fast-growing startup. Enrolled BS/MS students in Finance or Accounting who excel in Excel and have strong analytical skills are encouraged

Qualifications

Enrolled in BS/MS in Finance or Accounting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting processes
Analyze expenses and accruals and prepare variance analyses
Support cross-department projects with Supply Chain, Ops, Manufacturing and Business Development
Help develop and improve business processes and internal controls to meet audit requirements
Complete ad-hoc finance projects and accounting research
