CesiumAstro invites a Spring 2027 Test Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer. You will gain hands-on lab experience in electronics test engineering, supporting test plans, assembling setups, and working with interdisciplinary engineers on phased array systems.

The role emphasizes written and verbal communication, collaboration in a fast-paced startup environment, and opportunities to present work to peers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process documentation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the test engineering team to execute tests in the electronics lab, such as functional testing, digital signal integrity verification, or power converter control loop measurements.
• Work with test architectures and test systems, including equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging methodology, and interfaces.
• Assemble complex test setups, working with design engineers and technicians.
• Executing tests at the prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues by applying engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
• Collect and analyze data from test processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist in quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and root cause analysis for non-conforming products.
