Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an experienced Systems Test Engineer to support multiple programs in the Space Technologies division. You will design and implement automated test equipment, develop frameworks, and verify complex hardware and software interfaces across spaceflight systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics with relevant experience
• Experience developing automated test solutions and tests for spaceflight hardware
• Experience with SpaceWire and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain automated test equipment
• Develop reusable test automation frameworks
• Automate functional, performance, regression, integration, and acceptance testing for spaceflight hardware
• Integrate automated test solutions with data acquisition systems and HIL/SIL environments
• Develop test scripts for command, telemetry, data logging, analysis, and reporting
• Develop tests for SpaceWire and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces
• Plan and execute comprehensive test plans for spaceflight hardware
• Collaborate with electrical design, systems, and software teams
• Analyze test data and recommend design improvements
• Support failure investigation and resolutions
