Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Spacecraft SPIE Lead Systems Engineer in Huntsville to provide technical leadership, operations, and systems engineering for SPIE across SLS programs. You will interface with multiple engineering disciplines and coordinate data and interfaces to deliver mission-critical systems.

Role requires coordinating with NASA centers, prime contractors, and internal teams to ensure design, development, testing, verification, and launch readiness for Artemis, ICPS, LVSA, and OSA

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering with 10+ years experience or MS with 8+ years.
• US Citizenship and STAR ID are required.
• Experience leading systems/operations engineering teams.
• Experience with aerospace flight/ground hardware design and testing.
• Ability to coordinate with NASA centers and prime contractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to support SPIE Element operations.
• Provide systems engineering and operations integration for Artemis ICPS, LVSA, OSA.
• Support design, development, test, and launch activities of SLS/EGS/MPCV.
• Lead technical briefings and risk assessments for SPIE Operations.
• Collaborate with SPIE CE, ELSE, and EDLE across interfaces.
