Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to bridge Flight Software, Ground Software, GNC, Avionics and Data teams in a hybrid DC-area role. You will own software requirements, interfaces and verification across a spacecraft programme, shaping how multiple teams deliver together.

The role emphasizes systems-level thinking with hands-on C/C++, Python and Linux work, plus experience in agile ceremonies and cross-team delivery. Hybrid working in the DC area is offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DOORS, Jama or Jazz for requirements management.
• Strong understanding of requirements definition, decomposition, traceability and verification.
• Experience as Scrum Master, Product Owner or technical lead in an Agile environment.
• Working knowledge of C/C++, Python and Linux.
• Experience with Git/GitLab and Jira.
• Understanding of embedded systems and RTOS environments.
• Experience integrating software across multiple systems and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage software/system requirements, including traceability and verification.
• Define and manage interfaces between Flight Software, Ground Software, GNC, Avionics, Data and hardware teams.
• Translate system-level requirements into actionable software requirements and ensure they are implemented.
• Support software integration, test and verification across subsystems.
• Coordinate technical dependencies and ensure cross-team delivery.
