Job summary

L3Harris Space & Mission Systems located in Wilmington, MA, is seeking an Operations Program Manager to drive the design-to-build lifecycle of spaceflight hardware in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will lead operations, manufacturing, and IPT teams, ensuring manufacturability, cost control, and schedule adherence from concept to shipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance.
• Experience leading programs in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of planning and execution for operations on a program, including design for manufacturability, production planning, facilities, test execution, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Provide direction to operational functions in assembly and integration of opto-mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Report status on cost, schedule and delivery to program managers and IPT leads.
• Collaborate with IPT leaders to ensure feasible, aligned plans.
• Estimate and track operational costs; pursue continuous improvement to reduce waste.
• Create strategies incorporating DFMAT, APQP, and Lean manufacturing from design through delivery.
