Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation’s Cross‑Mission Effectiveness Department seeks engineers to advance modeling, simulation, and analysis for space, air, and ground systems. You will work within CMED to support MS&A across diverse programs and customers, translating needs into actionable software tasks.

Required are a CS/EE/optical/physics/math degree, 3+ years in modern software development, C/C++ (C++20), Python, and comfort with large codebases and git/Bitbucket.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in CS/EE/Optical/Physics/Math or related field.
• 3+ years of modern software development experience in a systems software language.
• Proficiency in C/C++, preferably C++20.
• Experience with Python and modeling & simulation software.
• Familiar with software development cycles and repos (git, bitbucket).
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer-driven capability for mod & sim software tools.
• Use modern tech stack and enforce best practices in software development and maintainability.
• Translate programmatic requirements into actionable work for cross-mission program offices and customers.
• Develop briefings and reports for program offices and customers.
• Travel occasionally as required.
