Job summary

Redwire Space seeks a Systems Engineer to lead modeling, simulation, MBSE, and digital engineering activities across spacecraft programs for National Security Space.

You will develop digital twins, run virtual integration and V&V, and collaborate with mission analysts, software teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high fidelity representations.

Ideal candidates will bring MBSE maturity, systems engineering depth, and ability to communicate complex results to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years in system development, I&T, MBSE, or related STEM work.
• Experience creating and evolving modeling and simulation capabilities.
• Ability to apply MBSE, SysML, and digital engineering tools across lifecycle.
• Experience building models for concept development and system evaluation.
• Ability to create and evolve digital twins for mission and space systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance modeling & simulation capabilities with physics-based and AI models.
• Promote MBSE practices across the full system lifecycle.
• Build simulation models for concept development, demos, and proposals.
• Create and maintain digital twins & digital threads for space systems.
• Design and simulate system interfaces across multi-domain environments.
• Perform virtual integration and V&V for simulation components and end-to-end behavior.
• Assess system performance using technical performance measures and simulations.
• Communicate results via reviews, proposals, briefings.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to support program execution.
