Job summary

EVONA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team and oversee the development of complex mechanical hardware for space applications. This on-site role is based in Denver and requires a strong technical leader who can guide design, analysis and hardware development from concept to qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–9+ years of mechanical design and analysis in aerospace or space systems.
• 1–3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design for aerospace hardware.
• Experience with electronics packaging at PCBA and system levels.
• Expertise in structural, thermal and dynamic analysis.
• Experience with environmental testing and qualification of space hardware.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, ANSYS Mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of mechanical engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple aerospace programs.
• Oversee mechanical architecture, design, analysis and technical trade studies.
• Manage hardware development from concept through manufacturing, integration, testing and qualification.
• Drive structural, thermal and dynamic analysis activities.
• Oversee electronics packaging at PCBA and system levels.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, design standards and best practices.
• Manage engineering resources, schedules and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing and program management teams.
• Support customer design reviews, technical proposals and product development strategies.
