Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an assembly/fabrication technician in the United States to support mechanical components fabrication for satellites. You will set up and test prototype units, analyze data, and assist engineers across multiple stages of production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience, familiarity with hand tools, and U.S. citizenship. Occasional travel may be involved depending on program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of related education/experience.
• Demonstrated initiative and motivation for excellence.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and/or schematics.
• Familiarity with hand tool techniques and safety.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or assemble mechanical components for larger assemblies.
• Set up and test prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
• Analyze data and recommend modifications to meet specifications.
• Assist mechanical engineers in development of designs and tests.
• Perform manufacturing operations including set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing.
