Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) and work onsite at Vandenberg SFB. The role leads scope definition, schedules, budgets, and deliverables across stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.

You will mentor other PMs, develop and review proposals, manage change orders, and report performance against budgets. A Secret clearance is required, and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management; engineering project management preferred.
• Experience with Catalyst methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance.
• Experience aligning with client vision, business objectives and success factors.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, schedules, budgets, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Document baselines and decompose work into manageable tasks.
• Identify resources and coordinate staff to ensure timely completion.
• Review status and flag delays or budget issues early.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage change orders affecting scope, cost, and schedule.
• Assist/lead RFP reviews; develop technical elements, schedules, and estimates.
• Oversee status reporting and inputs for reviews.
• Mentor PMs and lead Community of Practice.
• Develop new POG processes and best practices; solve complex issues.
• Challenge ineffective processes and propose alternatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
