Job summary

York Space Systems in Colorado is seeking an early-career Systems Engineer to support spacecraft development across multiple programs. You will contribute to requirements development, verification planning, and CONOPS documentation while collaborating with payload partners and customers to ensure system-level alignment.

This role requires 2+ years of systems engineering experience, a bachelor’s in a technical field, and active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of systems or spacecraft engineering experience.
• Experience with V-model, requirements development, interface definition, and verification planning.
• Ability to produce CONOPS, ICDs, verification matrices, and system-level artifacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customer interfacing skills.
• Willingness to work primarily in-office at Greenwood Village and Aurora, CO and hold TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, decompose, and maintain system/subsystem requirements across programs.
• Create verification plans and support testing to prove requirements compliance.
• Own system-level documentation including CONOPS and ICD updates.
• Coordinate with payload, software, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure alignment.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical reviews; communicate status clearly.
• Support trade studies, design evaluations, and root-cause analyses during integration.
• Maintain configuration control and update documentation for approved changes.
• Assist broader program execution and integration activities as needed.
