ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering, coordination, and analytical support for NASA's SCaN Program. The role spans development activities across SCaN Capability Development, helping transition technologies into operational networks across NASA centers and international partners.

Work arrangement is onsite at NASA HQ DC or NASA GSFC MD, with hybrid three days onsite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with satellite systems, space communications, or communications architecture.
  • Engineering background with project management support (schedule, cost, technical execution).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, scheduling, and coordination for program reviews.
  • Coordinate meetings, capture minutes, and maintain action-item tracking.
  • Monitor program actions, risks, commitments, and issues across SCaN.
  • Engage with NASA Centers and Headquarters to review status.
  • Represent leadership in meetings and summarize outcomes.
  • Review technical documentation to align with execution strategies.
  • Perform rapid analyses and decision-support activities.
  • Develop and maintain presentations, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Consolidate technical input into clear leadership messaging.
  • Organize program documentation in centralized repositories.
  • Coordinate deliverables with NASA Centers and project teams.
  • Apply Agile principles and lightweight project management.
  • Prepare leadership for technical and program reviews.
  • Serve as integration point across teams and external partners.
