Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a System Engineer – Portable Crew Device to support the Orion PCD System integration in Houston, TX.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, and US citizenship or permanent resident status.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of SE&I processes, model-based systems engineering, and test principles.
• Experience in space industry or DoD/DoW beneficial.
• Ability to prepare written documents and present at meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering for Orion PCD System integration with HLS and vendors.
• Support flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements docs.
• Develop and support requirement and verification data packs for architecture, design, verification/validation and operations.
• Conduct life-cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities.
• Align hardware specifications with verifications and support design processes.
• Perform systems engineering functions and provide user input during design.
• Coordinate ground and flight testing with end-item documentation.
• Review verification and validation reports for requirement compliance.
• Participate in system requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews.
• Contribute to Orion Con-Ops development.
• Perform system architecture trade studies influencing electrical design and performance.
• Assist in test, verification, and operation of as-built hardware.
• Identify risks and plan responses; present schedule/progress to customers.
