Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX. You will own the definition, integration, and verification of software systems spanning requirements, architecture, and interfaces across the full software development lifecycle.

You will work in a standards-driven MBSE environment with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, and avionics, demanding strong systems thinking and proactive collaboration to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• Authoring and managing software/system requirements (functional, performance, safety, interface)
• Experience maintaining bidirectional requirements traceability across lifecycle stages
• Experience defining and managing interfaces (ICDs) and supporting integration activities
• Experience planning/performing verification activities (test/analysis/inspection)
• MBSE experience using SysML in an MBSE tool (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody)
• Knowledge of SBOM/DevSecOps practices is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and manage software and system requirements with MBSE
• Maintain traceability across ConOps, system, software, design and test
• Lead requirements reviews and impact assessments
• Define interfaces, ICDs, timing budgets and failure behaviors
• Collaborate with avionics, network, FPGA and hardware teams for integration
• Plan and execute verification methods and acceptance criteria
• Support SIL/HIL integration and flight/field readiness
• Assist safety analyses and derived requirements
