Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 2/3 to contribute to a national security space program. You will join a cross-disciplinary team designing, developing, integrating, testing, launching and operating space vehicles and payloads.

The role emphasizes requirements analysis, system engineering functions and on-orbit operations. A Secret clearance is required for consideration, with relocation support potentially available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience for Level 2; Master’s degree for Level 2.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years for Level 3; Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 1 year.
• Active or current U.S. Government Secret Clearance required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
• Assist with trade studies, system analyses, and CONOPS development.
• Prepare review/briefing material for working group meetings and program status.
• Provide on-floor support of integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads.
