Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency/Space Capabilities at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs.

The role focuses on requirements development, traceability, and integration of new capabilities into the Missile Defense System. You will work with the Chief Engineer and PMs, applying disciplined SE processes, performing architecture analyses, risk assessment, and engineering reviews to sustain critical national defense programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DoD or MDA SE/tech support to PMs.
• Experience developing system requirements/specifications and interface control documents.
• Ability to depict technical approaches and block diagrams in written/graphic form.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Provide integration support for acquisition, development, sustainment and verification of systems, software and equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements and document KPIs/MOPs in DOORS.
• Prepare and review engineering docs and decision papers (e.g., Systems Engineering Master Plan, ICDs).
• Develop and present program risks; maintain risk register.
• Support Architecture analysis and space sensor/constellation-level integration.
• Assist in Engineering Review Boards and configuration management activities.
