Jobtailor is offering an internship to support space surveillance systems through analytical work, modeling, and algorithm development. The program expects graduate-level study in physics, mathematics, or engineering, along with programming experience, transcripts, and eligibility for US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in MS/PhD in Physics, Applied Math, or Engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree must be completed before internship begins.
• Willingness to work full-time for at least 10 weeks and return to studies afterward.
• Proficient in C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) usage.
• GPA 3.0+; transcript required.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Security clearance eligibility required.
• Experience in algorithm development research and novel techniques.
• Knowledge of filters, sensors (radar/IR), and AI/ML concepts.
• GPA 3.5+; active clearance preferred.
• Experience presenting to groups and leading small teams.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex projects.
• Software design, development, unit testing, and integration experience.
• Proficiency in robust statistics and decision logic.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and help develop algorithms for space surveillance tasks.
• Model, simulate, and analyze targeting for space domain awareness and missile warning missions.
• Apply standard techniques to prescribed engineering tasks and participate in training/mentorship.
