Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a detail-oriented intern to support the Surveillance & Navigation Architecture Performance Department in El Segundo, CA. This on-site role emphasizes modeling, analysis, and presentation of results to senior staff and customers.

Requirements include a Master’s in a relevant field (or within 12 months of conferral), 0–1 year experience, and familiarity with Python/C++ and HPC/Linux. Eligible for security clearance; active TS/ SCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or related field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0–1 years of relevant professional, technical work experience post bachelor’s degree.
• Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 with transcripts.
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and/or HPC/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in mission areas: geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, and/or space protection.
• Provide analysis to support R&D and acquisition decisions for space-based sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling and communicate results to technical leads and customers.
• Grow organization’s analysis and simulation capabilities.
