Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a resilient AI&T Space Suit Technician to test and maintain space suit hardware, ancillary equipment, and test rigs. You will train junior technicians and support EVAs and training events.

You will collaborate with engineering on fit checks, anomalies, and documentation, while following procedures and safety protocols in a lab environment with occasional field support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 7–9 years of related experience in space hardware or test environments.
• Experience with pressure systems or pressurized test equipment.
• Experience with a wide variety of precision tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrated problem-solving under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Train less experienced technicians in maintenance, assembly, and testing.
• Incorporate engineering changes and perform functional tests on space suit hardware.
• Assist engineering to locate anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
• Read drawings and specifications for equipment and procedures.
• Maintain documentation updates and support EVA training events.
