Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Long Beach, California, is seeking an Operations Specialist to support the design and build of artificial-gravity space stations. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Operations Manager and is based at our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities include organizing equipment, setting up workstations, onboarding support, inventory, and event setup. The position requires 1+ year of hands-on operations experience, lifting up to 40 lbs, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in operations, facilities, workplace services, logistics, hospitality, retail operations, or related hands-on support role.
• Ability to follow clear instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing, moving, and staging equipment and supplies.
• Assemble furniture and prepare workstations for new hires, including desks, chairs, and file cabinets.
• Support onboarding setups and day-to-day workspace readiness.
• Stock office, shop, and operational supplies as needed.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown.
