Job summary

Solestial, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician to help process ultra-thin solar cells in a compact, R&D manufacturing environment. You will operate baseline production tools, assist transfer to large-scale tools, and help keep equipment running smoothly.

This role includes safety-focused daily tasks and cross-functional collaboration with engineers. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with preferred STEM credentials, and the ability to work in a clean room.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or STEM certification preferred.
• Clean room environment experience is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Available to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
• Operate tools and equipment safely to maintain quality and fulfill orders per direction of supervisor.
• Perform duties per training, procedures, and supervisor guidance.
• Interact with equipment to monitor parameters and alarms.
• Characterize partially processed solar cells (Sinton lifetime, photoluminescence).
• Monitor process data and collect records as directed.
• Escalate conditions and communicate issues and recommendations.
• Collaborate with solar cell engineers on problem solving.
• Communicate effectively during shift changes.
• Work in an R&D manufacturing environment, often without direct supervision.
• Perform mechanical maintenance with hand tools.
• Follow safety requirements and keep clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
