Rocket Lab Robotics in Pasadena, CA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to participate in the development and testing of avionics hardware for robotics programs. You will work with engineers across disciplines on all phases from requirements to production, delivering high-performance electrical systems for space missions.

Qualifications include a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 2+ years in the field, and strong analog electronics expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• 2+ years of experience as an electrical engineer.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel.
• Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering irons).
• Experience with FPGA design in professional or school environment.
• Experience with Microcontroller design in professional or school environment.
• U.S. citizenship required, due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test avionics hardware for robotics programs.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines from requirements through production.
• End-to-end hardware development and manufacturing support.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Conduct circuit analyses, stress and worst-case analyses.
• Perform PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
