Job summary

Rocket Lab Robotics, based in Pasadena, CA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the team developing avionics hardware for its robotics programs. You will work across disciplines on requirements definition, design, prototyping, testing, and production of electronic systems.

The role emphasizes ownership, hands-on hardware development, and collaboration in a fast-paced space environment. A Bachelor’s in electrical/computer engineering and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel.
• Experience with FPGA design in a professional or school environment.
• Experience with Microcontroller design in a professional or school environment.
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• End to end ownership of electronic ground support equipment.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Circuit analysis including stress and worst-case analysis.
• PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing.
• Production manufacturing support as needed.
