Job summary

Sierra Space in Colorado is seeking an RF Engineer II to design, develop, and test RF systems and components for space-based applications, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and RF amplifiers. You will work under mentorship, troubleshoot complex issues, document results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and traceability in line with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically 2+ years of related experience.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits and components.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical design tools and equipment.
• Intermediate understanding of design tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve more complex problems.
• Ability to learn, receive instruction and mentorship from more experienced engineers.
• Basic knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
• Basic knowledge of systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
