Job summary

Amazon Leo Government is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and analyze satellite and ground system components, including boards, layouts, and tests. You will collaborate across teams to prepare reports and proposals while focusing on customer goals and data-driven solutions.

The role involves leading sub-teams, preparing technical reports, and conducting trades to meet system requirements for space hardware. A US citizen with TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with prototyping and implementation.
• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools and PCB design and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions backed by data and analysis.
• Responsible for electrical circuit and power accommodations for hosting sensitive RF and communications including EMI/EMC evaluation.
• Identify top level customer requirements and ensure high quality and innovative designs are pursued.
• Perform electrical design and layout trade studies for satellite and ground equipment electrical and power sub-systems contributing to overall system architecture including inputs and requirements from cross discipline teams.
• Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel configurations for cost/manufacturability vs design uncertainty.
• Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews and proposal efforts.
• Design and support test campaigns, development and qualification/acceptance, for space/aerospace hardware.
