Key Responsibilities
Function Space Management
  • Evaluate availability, booking patterns, pricing, and placement of guest rooms and function space to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Manage the function space approval and turn-down process, including customer communication, future opportunity tracking, and duplicate booking elimination.
  • Conduct regular function space audits to identify and resolve space conflicts, improve utilization, and support labor and energy efficiencies.
  • Monitor changes to function space within definite bookings to ensure compliance with approved space usage and revenue strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Catering, and Convention Services teams to optimize group and event space placements while balancing operational needs.
Revenue Strategy & Optimization
  • Develop and implement pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies to maximize hotel revenue and profitability.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, demand trends, and booking patterns to identify revenue opportunities and gain market share.
  • Manage guest room inventory controls, group block strategies, and function space allocation to optimize revenue performance.
  • Produce accurate short- and long-term revenue forecasts to support strategic planning and hotel goal setting.
  • Monitor revenue performance and provide reporting, analysis, and recommendations to hotel leadership.
Sales & Business Analysis
  • Monitor daily Sales and Catering activity, including new leads, referrals, lost business, and turn-downs, ensuring compliance with established booking guidelines and response standards.
  • Analyze lost business trends and booking denials related to guest room or function space availability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide revenue guidance and analytical support for sales and marketing initiatives designed to increase hotel performance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of revenue strategies and recommend adjustments based on market conditions and business demand.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Partner with hotel leadership to develop and execute revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Support, mentor, and guide team members, including revenue analysts and operational leaders, through data-driven decision making.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Catering, Convention Services, Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach while balancing revenue optimization and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hotel revenue management, preferably as an Assistant Revenue Manager, Revenue Analyst, or previous hotel operations, sales, catering, or convention services experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and possess strong technical skills all around.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex data and forecasting information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with function space optimization, group inventory management, and meeting/event revenue strategies.
  • Knowledge of hotel revenue management systems, forecasting tools, and distribution channels.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of guests and internal customers while driving results.

This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence hotel profitability by maximizing the performance of both guest room inventory and meeting/event spaces while supporting Hyatt's commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
