Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Albuquerque, NM team supporting the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO).

The role provides SETA and technical leadership to protect critical Space Force infrastructure and develop innovative cyber capabilities. The candidate will work within small, agile teams, delivering security assessments, system integration, and risk-focused strategies across ground and space systems in a fast-paced DoD

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years DoD/IC or equivalent cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with Docker/containers and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with RMF, JSIG and risk management processes.
• ISSE/ISSM background in DoD/IC programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering support to project teams.
• Conduct security assessments and remediation planning.
• Develop cyber mission effects through engineering activities.
• Create and employ cybersecurity tools within DoD architectures.
• Synthesize findings into reports with actionable recommendations.
• Advise on risks to performance, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with multiple partners to ensure policy adherence and milestones.
