Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking interns to work closely with your mentor and other engineers to apply engineering concepts to real challenges and grow your technical and professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

You will join a small, high-performing team and have opportunities to attend tech talks and network with colleagues as you contribute to meaningful space hardware projects on-site for a minimum 12-week internship beginning early 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or project work)

Responsibilities

• Work with mentors and engineers to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors for progress updates and learning.
• Participate in tech talks and network with interns and staff.

Skills

Applied engineering experience

GPA 3.0+

Ability to lead development projects

Education

Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in engineering/physics/math
