Bastion Technologies is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the space program based in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on leading safety initiatives, mentoring teams, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and related standards in aerospace testing environments.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of safety experience, including 1–2 years of hands-on practice. The position entails onsite work with potential travel and requires US citizenship or permanent residency.

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant safety experience.
• 1-2 years of direct, hands-on safety experience.
• Solid working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as an active member of a high-performing safety team, providing safety support across the contract.
• Mentor management and employees, assist with procedure development, and review technical documents to ensure all requirements are met.
• Utilize innovating and engaging techniques and technology platforms for proactive employee engagement in the safety program.
• Identify, assess, and communicate hazards, causes, and effects within industrial and aerospace test environments.
• Provide operational guidance to implement safe, environmentally responsible work practices and operational solutions.
• Independently analyze systems, equipment, and procedures, recommending safety criteria to control or eliminate hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, Johnson Space Center, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Conduct compliance audits to verify organizational adherence to requirements.
• Support delivery of regulatory-required training.
• Other duties as assigned.
