Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated is seeking a Validation Engineer for its Space Power product line. You will validate and characterize power ICs designed for harsh space environments, building test plans, PCs, and automated tests to ensure datasheet compliance and performance across wide operating conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand validation requirements across device-level, system-level, and compliance specs defined by datasheet and VVCM.
• Define and own a validation plan and schedule covering use-cases and corner conditions, including PVT sweeps.
• Develop and maintain a VVCM/Starfish compliance matrix to track validation coverage and drive datasheet limit decisions.
• Design and build validation PCBs using Altium Designer and/or Cadence Allegro X meeting space-grade power device requirements.
• Develop reusable, automated test sequences using Python and NI TestStand to execute the validation plan and collect data.
• Support COTS upscreen validation checkout for space applications.
• Perform datasheet plot collection and apply statistical analysis to assess margins.
• Drive reviews with design, systems, applications, test engineering, and quality teams.
• Debug anomalous behavior via design of experiments to identify stimulus, hardware, or circuit block causes.
