Job summary

Columbus Technologies and Services is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer for NASA JPL in Pasadena, CA. This 12-month contract, onsite role involves designing and testing space electronics subsystems, from concept through delivery, with rigorous documentation and coordination with management.

You will develop system designs for space power systems, lead test plans, and contribute to mission proposals, requiring strong leadership and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics for space hardware.
• Experience crafting, fabricating, assembling and testing electronics hardware.
• Experience with LabVIEW and Python for test equipment.
• Familiarity with Altium and LTspice for circuit/board design.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and test electronics subsystems and support equipment for space missions.
• Develop and execute task plans and budgets for power and sensor space flight electronics from development to delivery.
• Develop system designs and requirements for space power systems and power electronics.
• Create documentation for conceptual development, reliability, structural, and thermal analyses, drawings, and build/test.
• Report progress, schedule, and budget to management.
