Job summary

Endeavor Optical Networks in Culver City is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead design and analysis of thermal control for an optical terminal and flight payload. You will ensure sub-micron alignment is preserved across deployment sites by managing heat loads near precision optics.

You will collaborate with Optomechanical teams and electronics seats to model, test, and validate thermal performance, contributing to a roadmap from demonstrator to field-ready spacecraft hardware.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or physics, with modeling skills (Python, MATLAB).
• Fluent in thermal tools and STOP reasoning for precision hardware.
• Experience cooling high-power electronics and performing thermal testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze thermal solutions for the optical terminal, bench, and flight payload.
• Maintain sub-micron alignment by controlling thermal stability across deployment sites.
• Coordinate heat load budgeting with optics and electronics teams.
