Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) invites undergraduate and graduate students to a summer internship focused on calibrating and testing advanced sensor payloads for space applications. You will work with engineers on optical characterization, lab testing, and data analysis, with hands-on experience in TVAC environments and flight camera hardware.

The program runs up to 12 weeks in North Logan, Utah, with on-site support and potential transition to continued employment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in optical science, engineering, physics, or related laboratory field.
  • Junior, senior, or graduate student.
  • GPA 3.0 minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Support optical system characterization and calibration for space sensor payloads.
  • Assist in laboratory characterization and TVAC testing of flight camera hardware.
  • Conduct data reduction/analysis and document results.
  • Opportunities may include optical alignment and vacuum system operations.
