Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in Albuquerque, NM invites undergrad and grad students to join as a temporary laboratory technician. The role focuses on soldering, wiring, handling lab test equipment, and Linux/Unix work, with opportunities to participate in integration and test activities.

Start mid-October to mid-November, with a 30+ hour work week and the possibility of continued employment or transition to student/full-time work requiring security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, physics, technician support, or related field or certification.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience working in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with soldering and assembly of equipment.
• Support integration, testing, and inspection activities.
• Work with Linux-based test environments and lab equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on projects.
