Job summary

RTX is seeking an engineer for the Cross-Domain and Space Operations Solutions Section in El Segundo, CA. This onsite role focuses on simulation of space systems, satellites, and mission data processing to support space and missile integration. The position requires a DoD Secret clearance (active) and U.S.

citizenship, plus experience with STK/Simulink, MATLAB or Python, and space vehicle analysis. You will evaluate requirements, develop metrics, and implement algorithms to improve performance

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in simulation/analysis of space vehicles, satellites, and constellations.
• Proficiency with STK or similar mission analysis tools, Simulink, or visualization tools.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python; willingness to work onsite with clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate end-to-end system requirements through CONOPS and DRM to understand interfaces.
• Model and simulate satellites, constellations, and system-of-systems architecture.
• Support design/integration of mission data processing algorithms for detection and data fusion.
• Develop model-based solutions to support mission trade studies and performance simulations.
• Contribute to performance engineering practices and data analysis across domains.
• Analyze data to understand performance for space and missile system integration.
• Develop metrics to validate architectures against requirements and growth.
