Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Space Operations Instructor for mission-critical national security space operations at Palm Bay, Florida. This role develops and delivers comprehensive training programs for operators and support personnel to ensure readiness and mission effectiveness.

The instructor will work with Government and Contractor teams, supporting LEOPS training, anomaly response, and mission readiness assessments while continuously improving training materials and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Top Secret/SCI with SAP eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with DoD Instructional Systems Design (ISD), technical training development, or equivalent instructional methodology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Launch and Early Operations (LEOPS), space operations, satellite operations, or a related mission environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and update training materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with system configurations.
• Plan and deliver classroom instruction, hands-on system training, and mission-focused events.
• Lead training meetings, briefings, exercises, and tool demonstrations.
• Provide hands-on instruction to strengthen operator proficiency and readiness.
• Develop training documentation, job aids, and reference materials.
